If you plan on operating a small charter school– one that defies the market principal of scaling, of becoming part of a charter chain– then take a hint from Cypress Academy, a small, New Orleans-based charter school focused on students with reading disabilities– and one that gave its students and parents notice of closure just three days before the end of the school year, the New Orleans Lensreports.
